Go Thrifting for a Creative Buzz

One person’s junk is another person’s treasure, item of style or piece for re-purposing.

Weekends are perfect for hitting up yard sales, the Salvation Army or your local thrift store.  My momma, big sis and I had a great time thrifting together in WI for a couple days.

Here’s a bit of what I found:

That belt made an appearance with my I am MN nice shirt just the other day!  I love making fabulous outfits out of thrift store finds and vintage hand-me-downs.  I also love doing the same with furniture.

Here’s a discarded $3 dining chair we snagged:

I can’t wait to share with you how it’s transforming from this tired design into a fun conversation piece.  I’ll be posting a great step-by-step in the next several days.

Let me get side-tracked for a second though.  Isn’t that view great?  That’s the view out the backyard of the little, old, school house on my parent’s property.  Oh, how I love it there!

Have you any plans to go thrifting this weekend?!  Might you also whip up a green smoothie to juice up your day?! I just might do both. ;) xo
