Snow Angel

Introducing Brianna Greimann-Greer, my big sister!  I’ve always looked up to Bri as a writer and as a person.  She is the most amazing mom and one day I hope to be like her!  Our stories obviously go way back through years of dancing together, showing horses (tandem bareback in red, flowing costumes no less,) performing in plays, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention a squabble or two back in the day – but I deserved everything I got!  Believe me, I was the younger sister who never did chores or picked up properly, and Brianna (bless her heart) did it all!  I know it’s October, but it’s never too early for a Minnesota girl to think about snow.  I spent a few Halloween nights as a kid trudging through snow storms (a die hard trick or treater – and bless my Mom & Dad’s heart for that one) so snow in October can happen…

[from Brianna] I wrote this poem in my college days and it’s one of the few that still resonates with me.  Maybe because now I can watch my own kids laying out in the bright white winter, making their own snow angels and memories.
