WARRIOR film a *Must See
You wouldn’t peg me for an MMA girl. But I am. You wouldn’t think I’d be into a good action flick. But I am. You certainly might think I’d love a good story about family, trust, and fighting for something valuable though, wouldn’t you? You’re right. I suggest you add WARRIOR to your Must See list for the fall. Hubster and I made it to a private screening in NYC a couple weeks ago. He left the room energized & inspired. I left wiping tears away. Man, it was good!
Nick Nolte, Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, Frank Grillo and Jennifer Morrison are an exceptional cast. If this isn’t a movie you’d normally consider, give it another chance. It’s about second chances and fighting for something real. The film gets you involved in the stories and well-being of two protagonists, leaving you not apathetic about who wins but anxious, knowing someone is going to lose. Really great stuff.

So, why am I an MMA girl? It’s a long story. Or maybe it’s quite short: Hubster and I produced a live entertainment portion for an International Fight League event in late in 2006. From there, Jay (hubster) ended up working for the league full time and I did various random jobs from ring-girl promotions to manning booths at conventions and singing the national anthem. We had a great time, met wonderful people, made life-long friends and learned a lot of about the discipline fighters have while training outside the ring and the respect they pay each other inside the ring. (Well, most of the time!) Jason also has some MMA reality shows in the mix. Never a dull day here. (Although don’t we all feel like our lives are totally boring most of the time? …maybe that’s just me!)
Here are some shots from those days and a national anthem clip. Enjoy! And again, if you’re reading in email and don’t see the video, click here to watch. Oh, and did I tell you I’ve been song-writing?! My, there’s lots to tell. Okay, so maybe life isn’t so boring after all.
I’ll be sharing updates about that in the days and weeks to come.
Here’s to having something worth fighting for. Go see WARRIOR! …and let me know what you think? It opens in theaters SEPTEMBER 9th!

Wow, brings back lots of memories! There’s nothing like having fighters check out your beautiful wife, but these guys were respectful, disciplined athletes and I can’t say enough about how amazing some of their life stories are-many were bullied at a young age and decided to train so they could fight back.
And back to the movie; it’s awesome. The actors
are all amazing and I haven’t heard of any of then except Nick Nolte. And the story comes to an end I couldnt predict. It’s not a cookie cutter set up and ‘Rocky’ moment. It’s original, inspired and worth watching.
