FREE POSTCARDS! You’ve got mail.

When I was a kid I LOVED mail.  I loved sending mail and loved receiving it.  I had several pen pals, my school friends and I would write letters and send postcards over the summer,  I even created a “family mailbox” in my house.  Cheesy?  Yes.  But so much fun. ;)

Don’t ask me what this cupboard was used for back in the old farming days, but I designated it “mailbox” and it was so.  I put many a letter, picture and note into that tiny, wooden, stairway cupboard.  Bless my family for writing me back a few times.  Although I don’t think anyone ever checked the cupboard but me.  To their defense, I probably didn’t leave them much time to look…

“You’ve got mail!” I’d run and announce right after depositing a special envelope.

“You’ve got mail!  Go check the mailbox!!!”

So… in tradition with my love of mail and in effort to bring back the lost art of a hand-written note, I excitedly present the launch of my new “You’re a Doll” postcard line!

Check out these beauties…

  1. You were the best little sister – always something fun going on :) My favorite note from you was an invitation stuck to my bedroom door, soon after I moved into my own room, inviting me to spend the night in your “bedroom sweat” (suite). Love it!

Just like you, I love mail!! And the art of hand writing little notes is going by the wayside, so I love your idea. In an effort to get your postcards around the world, I’ll be sending at least one to Australia and the Netherlands.

  5. Thank you so much!! I got my lovely postcards today!! I immediately used one to thank my daughter for the lovely lunch she brought over. She took one to send to her grandma, just to say hi!

  8. I love your postcards and the story behind them. I loved to play office with the junk mail my family received. I remember writing letters to my best friend who moved away in elementary school. Last year she showed me one. It was a time capsule and hilarious! Thank you for the opportunity to receive the post cards. I did tweet about it and will share on FB, too!

    Thanks!

  9. Thanks Jill and Sarah! My friend, Sara was married this year and we dug up old letters to each other too. You’re right it was an amazing time capsule! I’m glad you’re loving the cards sending messages of cheer!
