Radar smells like peanut butter.

Not long after Radar came into our lives did Jason discover he smells like peanut butter.  At first I didn’t believe him.  I thought, wow, he’s really fallen in love with this dog (score!) so much that he’s associating him with food.  If you know a guy in his 30′s who works out, you’ll know that he still eats like a college kid (no matter how baffling it is.)  So you can understand that food association carries a lot of weight.
 
But, no, – I mean, yes, he really did fall in love with Radar, but his love wasn’t causing him to dream of food.  The little brown side actually smells like peanut butter!  Not always, but if he’s been curled up under his fluffy grey blanket for a while and all wrapped up into himself (he usually tucks his nose into his back legs if he’s cold,) you can get a real good whiff of Jif.  I know this sounds crazy!  Most dogs get a ‘dog’ smell once in a while, Radar just smells like peanut butter!  Of course, if he’s been on the farm you’ll want to steer clear because it won’t be peanut butter that you smell.  Why is it that dogs love to roll in the most putrid and unbelievable things?  I prefer the peanut butter!
