Under the Weather, Creative Group @ Home!

The weather on the east coast has been rainy and chilly which means Radar spends a lot of time hiding under my husband’s chair, my desk or any nearby table.  It also means several people have a cold (or are cold) like me!  So, I am under the weather in many aspects you might say!  That means Creative Group will be @ home for all our creative cohorts.  I prefer spreading love to spreading kleenex-attracting, air-born pathogens.

So, first up is our creative play!  I’ve put together a fun little word association game for you to download, print and have your way with!

Go ahead, DOWNLOAD the game here and have fun!  All you have to do is write the first word that comes to your mind next to each word on the list.

Next, please share your progress on your creative projects this week.  I’ll go first!  I’ve been song-writing (oh my, I’m so excited about this one) and I’ve been story-boarding a children’s book about none other than my little, big-eared baby, Radar.  The song-writing has been taking precedence.  What do I need next?  A musical arranger/composer.  I’ll report progress in the coming weeks!

Remember, sometimes we are afraid to share creative projects before they are fully baked, but on occasion these little hatchlings are at risk of never making it to the oven – so… please, go ahead and mention what you’re working on, share a link, spread the creativity!  (And not the common cold.)

   I am working on my blog, theprairiechick.com and having so much fun!
   Also have been buying furniture to re-purpose and re-design. That has been loads of fun. My friend Karla and I drove all over in the rain last Saturday to scout for good pieces.    Love the Word Association game! And it’s great for all ages—it will be perfect for pontoon rides at a friend’s cabin this summer.

   My current creative project is some poetry (haiku, tanka, and limericks) I’m composing for a retirement gig! Lots of fun.

   Just did the Word Association Game. That was really interesting. It was hard to pinpoint one word that popped into my mind because as I read each word an image would come to mind, not a word. Hmmm, I feel inspired already!
